'In Lviv Market Square (Rynok Square) and the main streets were paved in 1452.' This is the first known mention of Lviv stone-block pavement. It was left in the Chronicle of the Governor of Lviv, Bartomiej Zimorowic (1597-1677). Lviv paving is a real stone Chronicle of the city, because the steps of famous citizens and guests of the city have been imprinted in it.
